FitFlop releases new styles to US stores
The FitFlop, the workout-while-you-walk shoe brand that has sold nearly 5 million pairs throughout 48 countries in only 3 years, has just released a new collection in time for the first big weekend of summer. Founded by entrepreneurial powerhouse Marcia Kilgore and engineered by two biomechanists, the FitFlop is designed with a patent-pending, muscle-loading Microwobbleboard technology that increases the time muscles are engaged, every single time you take a step. Incredibly, while it started out as a shoe designed to help one get a workout while walking, the FitFlop turned into a pain relieving phenomenon. Thousands upon thousands of wearers claimed relief from scores of ailments including plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, neuropathy, lower and upper back pain, knee pain and more. Groups like the National MS Society began endorsing the product. The American Podiatric Medical Associated gave FitFlop the seal of approval. Leading US doctors provided unsolicited endorsements. The UK government (where FitFlop is based) even took note and is funding a 2 year study on the benefits of the shoe. Preliminary findings reveal that FitFlop footwear can help realign force towards your core, helping alleviate back, pain and knee stress. FitFlop has extended its offering each year to offer a myriad of options for women and a range for men and children. The Summer 2010 Collection, that has just hit stores, includes an array of styles including the Fiorella designed by Anna Sui, the Rockstar which is embellished with Swarovski crystals, the studded, suede Rebel and new colors of the top-selling Walkstar, Oasis and Electra. And, FitFlop isn`t stopping there. A wait list has already been started on the website of Manhattan`s Kirna Zabete for the highly-anticipated Happy Gogh, a clog launching at the end of summer.
